Chamber Strings - Students that have had previous string experience grades 9-12 can enroll in the PCHS Encore strings. This ensemble meets as a class daily, has several curricular concerts, as well as off campus collegiate and festival performances. Student participation in the orchestra grants them eligibility in the many co-curricular opportunities in the PCHS music department, such as marching band, jazz, pep band, Noteables, combo and musical pits.

Symphony Orchestra - The Encore chamber strings are given the opportunity several times a year to experience full orchestra playing by inviting the top performers from the Symphonic Band to perform on concerts. The symphony orchestra plays classical style pieces, as well as contemporary literature to expand the learning for the strings, winds, and percussionists involved.
