🐉 DRAGONWORKS: Building Futures, One Partnership at a Time! 🐉
The Pekin Community High School DragonWorks Program is proud to partner with our incredible local businesses to provide real-world, hands-on learning experiences for our senior students. Through work-based learning, mentorship, and on-the-job training, our students gain marketable skills, confidence, and a direct pathway from school to the workforce.
This year, we are thrilled to celebrate: ✅ 83 Student Participants ✅ 75 Business Partners
These opportunities simply wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support of our community. 💛 THANK YOU to our current DragonWorks Business Partners for investing your time, knowledge, and resources into shaping the next generation of workers and leaders. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom!
Together, we are building confidence, creating career pathways, and strengthening our local workforce—one student at a time.

As we move into our last week of school before Winter Break, we would like to share some reminders and other information before we finish our first semester: Students will be taking summative assessments for their classes between December 15th and December 17th. Please be sure they are well-rested, in attendance, and ready to do their best! December 18th will consist of assessment retakes, course reflection, and other end-of-the-semester activities taking place in classrooms. Students will also be notified if they met the Incentive Day criteria which includes having a C or higher in all classes. December 19th will be the last day of classes and the students will be on a shortened schedule that day with dismissal at 10:52am. Students meeting the incentive are not required to attend school on December 19th. School will resume for students on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026.
