As a capstone experience at the zoo, Ms. Chick organized a presentation about different career opportunities. Did you know zoos don't just have zoo keepers? There are nutritionists, horticulturalist, architects, custodial staff, security, and many more! Can you think of any more?

There was a large group of people in attendance at the GAPP meeting on Tuesday evening. Many German students, along with their parents and guardians showed up to hear more about the 2025 GAPP exchange trip to Germany. GAPP stands for the German American Partnership Program. The program has been around since 1972. Pekin Community High School has been an active participant within GAPP since 1988. Our partner school is the Max-Born-Gymnasium in Backnang, Germany 🇺🇸🇩🇪

Student Council hosted the councils from the other Mid-Illini schools today. They made dog treats and toys to donate to TAPS. They also learned to make buttons in the Life Skills workshop and about volunteer opportunities at TAPS.
