Government students participated in the 35th Legislative Session today. A few bills passed, some failed, and there were an unprecedented three vetoes by the Chief Executive. It was an amazing day of leadership, citizenship, and respectful engagement in policy issues.

The PCHS Counseling Office will be hosting FAFSA completion nights on December 12 and February 19th at 6pm in the Dragon Commons. All seniors, regardless of attending a 4-yr, 2-yr, or vocational school will need to complete the FAFSA. Both you and your student will need to create an FSA ID prior to the event. Please do so by going to https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch. These workshops will be a great opportunity to work on your student's FAFSA while having experts around to answer any questions that may come up. We hope to see you there!

This Saturday, our PCHS Scholastic Bowl teams competed in Galesburg’s Kickoff Tournament. 🔹 Varsity MVP: A huge shoutout to freshman Atticus Wendling, who was named MVP of the varsity team for his standout performance! 👏 🔹 JV: The JV team kept it exciting, going neck and neck with a competitor. In a thrilling finish, Tate Hoffman stepped up and nailed the tie-breaking question to secure the win! 🎯 🔹 The Dragon Showdown: In a fun twist, our Pekin teams faced each other in round 6 — guaranteeing a win for the Dragons! 🐉🏅 A great time was had by all, and we couldn’t be prouder of our teams. Onward to the next challenge! 💡 Dragon’s Varsity team will be heading to Bradley University on Dec. 7th to compete in PAWAC’s International Tournament! #PCHSScholasticBowl #GoDragons #TheFireisWithin
