Congratulations to junior Zariah Wherry! She is the winner of the 2018 Pepsi Marigold Medallion Hunt design competition. Her 4" fused glass medallion will be hidden on public property in Pekin and searched for by thousands in preparation for the Marigold Festival in September. Pictured is her winning design, Zariah during the creation process and Zariah with Gary Gillis the master clue writer for the Pepsi Marigold Medallion Hunt.

Wellness day is going to be on Thursday, April 19th this year and will be the largest event yet! This is a day for all students in PE/Health/Dance/Drivers Ed. All the students in their respective class period will come to Hawkins gym that day and walk around to different stations we have in the gym. The stations are various businesses and organizations from the Pekin/Peoria Community that represent the whole spectrum of Health and Wellness. We will have over 40 stations with a variety of topics to address many areas of need for our students. It is a day filled with interaction for our students to remind/educate them of things they have learned in health class but to remind them that there is more to your health than just eating right and exercising.
