Our own LTC Larry Hallstrom (JROTC officer) was recognized by the Governor and Illinois Dept. of Veterans Affair for his time, energy, and service to veterans and the community. LTC Hallstrom and his wife Kim in front of the Illinois championship trophies at the Illinois Bicentennial.

Illinois Central College will host a Health Careers Exploration Fair for potential students to explore its state-of-the-art facilities and career program options on Mon., Dec. 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the ICC Peoria Campus, located at 5407 N. The music department is VERY excited to announce that we had 4 students selected for All State! These students auditioned in October and qualified in November! These students were chosen from thousands of eligible, auditioning students from throughout the state! Please congratulate Jack Mansfield, Maddy Prichard, Isaiah Alexander and Paige Calvert on an outstanding job! These students will represent PCHS at the ILMEA All State conference the last week of January at the Peoria Civic Center! #dragonpride
Dragon Battalion Drill Team swept the competition this weekend! Congratulations! Pekin (Army JROTC), Peoria Manuel ( Army JROTC), Peoria Richwoods (Marine Corp JROTC), and Limestone (Air Force JROTC) competed in a Drill Competition hosted at Pekin Community High School. Pekin came in First Place in Color Guard, Armed Platoon, Unarmed Platoon, and also won Individual Drill Knockout and took the overall First Place Finish. #dragonpride

Yesterday the S'Pekin Dragons competed at Bradley and senior Alyssa Stuart won a $13,000 scholarship to go to Bradley! Lots of other great results!
