We are excited to announce this week's winners of the "Flying the P" award are the members of the Varsity Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams! Both teams have had amazing seasons that are still going! The Boys Varsity Team placed 1st in the Pre-Conference Mid-Illini Meet, 3rd out of 19 teams in the Metamora Runnin' Red Invitational, 3rd in the Mid-Illini Conference Meet, and 2nd in the IHSA 3A Regional. The Girls Varsity Team took 2nd place at the Conference Meet (just one point behind Metamora) and 5th in the IHSA 3A Regional this past weekend in Granite City. With their Regional finishes, both the Girls and Boys Teams have earned spots in this weekend's IHSA 3A Sectional in Normal. Please help me in congratulating each of these student athletes and wish them good luck at Sectionals this Saturday!
