The S'Pekin Dragons just finished competing at the national qualifying speech tournament at Normal Community West High School. We are happy to announce that Pekin had THREE students qualify to nationals!!! They are:p Informative Speaking - Elisabeth Sandoval (jr) Duo Interpretation - Madison Rudloff (sr) & Kaitlyn Heaton (jr) These students will compete this June at the National Speech & Debate Association Tournament in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

We are excited to announce this week's winner of the "Flying the P" is the JV Scholastic Bowl Team! The JV Scholastic Bowl team had an amazing season! During the regular season, they placed 6 out of 20 teams to advance to the Peoria Area League Tournament where they finished in 2nd. They also placed 3rd at the River City Classic Tournament and 3rd at the Mid-Illini Conference tournament. They finished the season 18-9. Sophomore Anna Soupos answered an amazing 74 toss ups during the season, followed by freshman Michael Weydert with 49, sophomore Liam Turner with 42, and sophomore Talia Bianchi with 31.
