Geography 🌎 field trip fun 🤩
Today, Ms. Cosentine and Ms. Dunn’s classes took their learning on the road with a visit to the Field Museum in Chicago! From stunning African Fashion to towering dinosaurs and the dazzling Hall of Gems, students explored the world in unforgettable ways.
Of course, no road trip is complete without snacks—so we made a very important stop at Wally’s for treats… both on the way there AND back! 🍿🍫🍬🍭
So much fun, so many memories!

Congratulations to our Regional Champions!

The Kelly A. Helmick Art Scholarship fund was founded in 2024 to assist PCHS arts students in the cost of art education and vocational training in the field of visual arts including course fees, supplies, field trips, and other educational-related costs. Kelly found joy and satisfaction in expressing her creativity during her four years in art classes at Pekin Community High School. This scholarship is founded in hopes that it will allow students to continue to explore and express their artistic talents, just as Kelly did. We are thrilled to announce that this year's recipients are AJ Cunningham, Madison Hampton-Dodd and Addison Hiles.

Thanks to the Booster Club for supplying the girls' track team with lunch before our Sectional meet in Bloomington!

PCHS was lucky enough to hand out over $225,000 in scholarships! See the winners here

Congratulations!
Don't forget about tonight's optional Baccalaureate service held in the theater!

Thank you to Boerma Farms for the great tour and letting the PCHS Life Skills/Transition Program interact with your show pigs and chickens!

Dragon Media hit the road yesterday! Landon Gaudet and Mr. Myers went to the State Capitol. They showed off Dragon Media in order to show our state legislators the importance of innovative learning! #dragonpride

Work-Based Learning also honored several students who found their “fire” for a vocation but need to pursue postsecondary training before continuing in their field. Cheyenne with the Tazewell County Health Department who will pursue Healthcare. Hannah was at Marquette Elementary with Ms. Underwood this year and will seek a position teaching blind children. Jocelyn with OSF Center for Health who experienced new paths in the healthcare field and discovered she wanted to start working to becoming an RN. And Carson who worked Dragon Tech Support this year and will pursue IT in the fall at ICC. We had 40 students out in the workforce this year. Seven are continuing in careers as diverse as art, business, animal science, automotive, health sciences, business, and the Military. The balance will go on to study astrophysics, construction, business, media, IT, government, healthcare, ministries, and education. I am honored to have helped in some way these students and could not be prouder of their achievement! #EFE320 #ILCTE #DRAGONPRIDE

The PCHS art department is excited to share our "Bison"-tennial with the world. Meet Frank the Dreamer! He is looking forward to sharing his thoughts and ideas with everyone.
