Ceramics students carve and draw in to their clay to make animal wind chimes. They will fire and paint them later this semester, so they are ready for spring breezes. Take 3D ART next year if you want to try making things in clay!

The S'Pekin Dragons competed at the Downers Grove South Speech Tournament. This is by far the biggest tournament we compete at all year, and at the end of a long day of competition, PCHS finished with 6 quarter-finalists and TWO FINALISTS!!! Here are the individual results: Quarter-Finalists Dramatic Interpretation Kaeli Harkleroad (senior) - top 36 out of 82 entries Humorous Duet Acting Christian Redding (soph) & Korey Young (soph) - top 39 out of 66 entries Informative Speaking Norah Springborn (soph) - top 39 out of 85 entries Original Comedy Christian Redding (soph) - top 39 out of 72 entries) Poetry Reading Taylor Cady (senior) - top 37 out of 90 entries Radio Speaking Andrew Lambe (senior) - top 40 out of 84 entries FINALISTS!!! Dramatic Duet Acting 4th place - Taylor Cady (senior) & Caroline Manning (junior) - out of 54 entries Prose Reading 2nd place - Elisabeth Sandoval (senior) - out of 100 entries!!!!! The State Series starts two weeks from today, so we still have a lot of speech left. But, I'd say this is a great way to end the regular season! Congratulate these students on a job well done and wish them luck over the next few weeks!
