Lucia Rossi came in to speak at Future Focus Day about her life as a Sheriff's Deputy & 1LT in the US Army. In addition, she spoke to Mrs. Jones' classes about her experiences & year long deployment.

Students toured the Red Cross today to learn about jobs there and the donation process.



Kieley Johnson - who interns at Pekin Hospital, used her #FFD to job shadow in a different part of the hospital and was able to spend the day as a sonographer! #dragonpride

Cadyn Bonnette is the Zoology student of the day.He made a spider crab out of plastic bottles and containers. Spider crabs are the largest crab species. They get stuck in nets that are left in the oceans.


Future Focus speaker Dawnie Mahrt shares about her respiratory therapist career. Students got to inflate real lungs and test their own lung capacity!



Future Focus Day was a success! Students had the opportunity to listen to over 50 speakers on careers, tour our CTE area, and do Xello activities to explore future career paths. #dragonpride

Ms. Oesch’s Science classes are discovering new knowledge about the human cell.




Zoology student of the day is Kyle Dodd.He made a Spotted Eagle Ray out of plastic anti freeze containers used for his pool.These rays weigh up to 500 pounds!They get stuck in fishing nets and me eat plastic off of the ocean floor that gets in their stomachs and does not digest.


Scholastic Bowl played at home tonight. Varsity won all 3 matches and JV went 2-1. Thanks to all the volunteers that helped make it happen.




Ms. G’s biology classes are showing what they learn after a week-long investigation into cell types, cell parts and their functions.
