The Scholastic Bowl team is currently playing for the Regional Championship against Morton! This is the farthest a Scholastic Bowl team has advanced for Pekin!Michael Weydert has 15 tossups so far and Keidrych Mullins has 8!
Yesterday, the S'Pekin Dragons had FOUR STUDENTS qualify for the National Speech & Debate Association Tournament!!! The results were:
Marshal Pruitt (jun) - Congressional Debate
Sophia Vansaghi (jun) - Program Oral Interpretation
Abby Frye (jun) - Program Oral Interpretation
Alina Vang (soph) - Original Oratory
These four students will be heading to Phoenix, Arizona this summer to compete against the best in the nation! If you see them, congratulate them on a job well done!
