Here we are once again, another week to honor those who seize an opportunity,
My favorite weekly honor, handing out the Flyin’ the P.
This week’s winners are incredibly profound,
They soothe our souls with their rhythmic sound
A french horn, a clarinet, even a baritone sax,
The tunes are next level, I am just speaking facts.
A flute, bassoon, and some consistent percussion…
When looking for this week's winners, it was an easy discussion…
A group of PCHS Musicians played their tunes and were in demand,
So much so that they were selected for the Monmouth College Honor Band.
A day in the college life, with a guest conductor and an evening concert indeed
As crowds gathered round to listen and be freed.
A huge shout out to our PCHS Musicians
Who put themselves above the rest in an excellent position.
Congrats on being selected for the Monmouth College Honor Band

Good morning! There are two very exciting events this week that will help you celebrate and reflect on this holiday season.
Thursday, Dec. 7 - 6:30pm Holiday Band Concert
Come enjoy the festive sounds of the holiday, also, in remembrance of Pearl Harbor we will be playing a piece. The bands have been discussing the importance of this event, and how it has parallels to the attacks on 9/11. How our nation felt a great loss, but rose up more unified and determined than before. We will also have a special guest appearance you won't want to miss!
Saturday, Dec. 9 - 6:30p Vespers Concert
This event will showcase the choirs and orchestras at PCHS with some of the familiar sounds of the holiday season. Pieces will include O Holy Night, several audience carols, a piece by Trans Siberian Orchestra, as well as a world premier of Love Is Christmas composed by Mark Grizzard for the PCHS Choirs and Orchestra.
We hope to see you at these events and we hope it sparks that holiday twinkle in your eye!
