  • Plan family college discussion
  • Sign up for PSAT
  • Set goals for GPA (grade point average)
  • Schedule time to meet with college reps visiting PCHS
  • Continue involvement in PCHS clubs, athletics, arts, organizations, and/or community service
  • Attend PCHS Junior Family Night on Nov. 14th
  • Attend ICC College Night
  • Take PSAT
  • Review descriptions of different types of schools
  • Midterm Exams--grades are VERY important
  • Discuss senior courses with counselor
  • Final Exams--grades are VERY important
  • Volunteer in the community

  • Ask questions of your college friends home on break
  • Identify characteristics you want in a college
  • Attend college fairs
  • Register for academically challenging senior classes
  • Begin reviewing and preparing for the SAT and/or ACT exam

  • Continue searching for scholarships and ways to pay for college
