ESSAY CONTEST

This $500 essay contest is open to all high school seniors with a parent or guardian belonging to an Illinois Moose Association Lodge or Chapter. The student must submit a 500 word essay on "Traffice Safety- Driving Priveleges Required Driving Responsibly". The essay along with the entry form must be postmarked by June 30, 2012. Forms are available in the Pekin Moose Lodge.

RIVER CUP FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

These scholarships are awarded to students with an association with golf who are good students and who have been active in their school and/or community. The Foundation's preference is that applications be made online at www.rivercup.com . Deadline to apply is May 15, 2012.

JOYCE AND THOMAS H. STANISIC MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is available to an individual pursuing a degree or certification in a field that falls within the Music or Healthcare fields. Applicant must have a high school g.p.a. of at least 2.5 and has demonstrated a desire to succeed. Applications are available in the counselors office and the deadline to apply is June 1, 2012.

JEAN M. BROWN NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS

There are two different scholarships available to students pursuing an education in the field of nursing. One scholarship is for students who are wanting to go into Non-Occupational Health Nursing and the other is for students wanting to go into Occupational Health Nursing. EASTERN ILLINOIS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CTE

ASPIRING FASHION PROFESSIONALS SCHOLARSHIP

Five $1,000 scholarships are limited to high school seniors in Ohio, Florida, Illinois, Texas and California pursuing a fashion related degree program at an accredited post-secondary school or college. ABBOTT AND FENNER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.

OMICRON ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF PSI UPSILON GRANT

Three scholarships will be given out to male freshman attending the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign who exhibit the highest moral, intellectual and social excellence. SIGMA PHI EPSILON BALANCED MAN SCHOLARSHIP SIUE

This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming male students at SIUE.  Basis for selection is scholarship, leadership, athletics, and community service.  Applications are available in the counselor's office.  DEADLINE: June 1, 2012.

SCRAMBLE 4 SCHOLARSHIP

Peoria Country Club is awarding between $1500 and $3000 of scholarship funds this year to senior female golfers. Females must have participated on their golf team senior year and shown leadership in both school and community. Applications are available in the counselor's office. Deadline to apply is May 25, 2012.

BOB HART MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Two local $500 scholarships will be awarded to a boy and a girl who are a resident of the Groveland Township. Students must be a high school senior and enrolled as a full time college student for the 2012-2013 school year. Students must also be majoring or minoring in Civis, Political Science or a related field. Applications are available in the counselor's office. Deadline to apply is May 18, 2012.

MYERS & STEINER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Myers & Steiner Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of 2005 PCHS graduates Kyle Myers and Joseph (Joey) Steiner. The Myers & Steiner Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a one (1) deserving graduate of PCHS who wishes to further their education at a post-secondary institution (including universities, colleges, community colleges and trade schools). The recipient of this scholarship must demonstrate a strong potential for future success in their chosen educational program of study. The recipient will receive a $1,000.00 one-time award to be used to further their education. Applications may be picked up in the counselors’ office. Applications are due back to the counselors’ office by 3 PM on Tuesday, May 15, 2012.

CAREER LINK SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship covers 100% of tuition and books for students planning to attend college or vocational training at ICC. Career Link has $20,000 in funds to assist students with low income who plan to earn a career certificate or employment-focused degree. Applications are available in the counselor's office.
