Conquering the world one mountain at a time!

Well, here are the main points of interest on this quick trip: 

Mrs. Karli Skelton is the new Director of Bands at Pekin Community High School.  She graduated from Amos Alonzo Stagg High School in 2000 and started at Eastern Illinois University that same year.  Karli studied percussion with Professor Johnny Lee Lane while earning a degree as a music education major.  After student teaching at Argo Community High School and George T. Wilkins Middle School, she graduated from EIU with Honors in 2005.  2006 found her living in Eureka and working at Roosevelt Magnet School, where she developed the percussion program and started a drumline that made countless appearances throughout the Peoria area.  On Saturday, June 17th Ms. Karli Oblak became Mrs. Karli Skelton and had accepted a position at Pekin Community High School as the new Director of Bands.  This year has already been flying by with so many wonderful accomplishments and positive changes.  The only place to go is up, and we are getting their one day at a time!
