Chief Warrant Officer Four Becker enlisted in the Army in 1982 and attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Following Basic, he attended Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Gordon, Georgia where he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 32H, Fixed Station Radio Repairer.
Chief Warrant Officer Four Becker’s first assignment was as a High Frequency Radio Repairer with the 19th Signal Company, 11th Signal Brigade, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. His next assignment he served as the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of the VHF/HF Radio section assigned to the Central Region Signal Group, Allied Forces Central Europe (AFCENT), Brunnsum, The Netherlands. Upon his return from Europe, he was assigned as a Senior Radio Analyst with Information Systems Engineering Command (ISEC) at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
In 1989, Chief Warrant Officer Four Becker was selected as a Warrant Officer Candidate and attended the Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS) at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Following WOCS, he attended the Warrant Officer Basic Course (WOBC) at Fort Gordon, Georgia where he was awarded the MOS 256A, Signal Systems Maintenance Technician and was appointed as a Warrant Officer One. After WOCS/WOBC, his first assignment was as the Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Communications-Electronics (C-E) Maintenance section, 710th Main Support Battalion, 10th Mountain Division (LI), Fort Drum, New York. While serving with the 10th Mountain Division, he served in Hurricane Andrew relief efforts in Homestead, Florida and Operation Restore Hope in Somalia. He returned to Europe to serve in the 3rd Corps Support Command (COSCOM) in Germany. His assignments included the OIC of the C-E Maintenance section, 317th Maintenance Company, 71st Corps Support Battalion in Nurnberg, Germany. He served as the OIC/Shop Officer for B Company, 601st Aviation Support Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, during Operation Joint Endeavor (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina. His next assignment was as the OIC, C-E Maintenance, 149th Maintenance Company, 18th Corps Support Battalion, Hanau, Germany. Following promotion to Chief Warrant Officer Three, he was assigned as a Senior Electronics Maintenance Technician in the Electronics Maintenance Branch, Equipment Readiness Division, 19th Corps Materiel Management Center (CMMC) in Wiesbaden, Germany. He served as the OIC of the Corps Materiel Management Team at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, as part of Task Force Eagle. He returned to the United States where he served as the Senior Electronics Technician/S-4 for the 93rd Signal Brigade, Fort Gordon, Georgia. He retired from military active duty in July 2005.
Chief Warrant Officer Four Becker graduated from The State University of New York (SUNY)-Empire State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He also holds a Masters degree from The University of Oklahoma. His professional military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course (BNCOC), Warrant Officer Entry Course (WOEC), Warrant Officer Advanced Course (WOAC), and the Warrant Officer Staff Course.
His awards and decorations include: Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal (5th Award), Army Achievement Medal (5th Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Kosovo Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (2nd Award), Armed Forces Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal (2nd Award), Air Assault Badge, and The Ordnance Order of Samuel Sharpe.

Master Sergeant Joseph Fabish enlisted in the Army in 1984 and attended Basic Training (BCT) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Following Basic, he attended Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Gordon, Georgia where he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 31M, Multi-Channel Communications Equipment Operator.
Master Sergeant Fabish’s first assignment was as a Multi-Channel Communications Operator/Team Chief with the 122nd Signal Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey Korea. His next assignment he served as a Section Sergeant in the 194th Armor Brigade, Fort Knox, KY. He was then sent overseas and served as the Communications Chief for 6/52nd Air Defense Artillery, 32nd ADCOM in Germany. He returned stateside and was a Section Sergeant for Delta 63rd Signal Battalion, Fort Gordon, Georgia. Served as the Operations Sergeant and Platoon Sergeant for Operation Provide Hope and Operation Continue Hope in Mogadishu Somalia. Other duty assignments include Platoon Sergeant and Operations Sergeant 304th Signal Battalion, Korea, Small Group Leader at the Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, Fort Gordon Georgia, Senior Drill Sergeant for Foxtrot 447 Signal Battalion, Fort Gordon GA, and a Title XI, Anderson, IN.
In 1999, Master Sergeant Fabish was selected to attend the United States Army Drill Sergeant School at Fort Jackson, S.C. His Military education includes Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Master Physical Fitness Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, Tactical Communications Course, and the Signal Leadership Course.
Master Sergeant Fabish graduated with honors from Anderson University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education.
His awards and decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Service Medal, Overseas Medal (3rd Award), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3rd Award), United Nations Medal, and the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge. Master Sergeant Fabish is also a lifetime inductee of the Sergeant Morales Club and the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. |
