The Pekin Community High School Board of Education met on Monday, November 17, 2008 in the Superintendent’s Office located in The Holman Career and Technical Education Building of Pekin Community High School, City of Pekin, County of Tazewell.

Call to Order

President Howard called the special meeting of the Board of Education to order at 5:00 p.m. Present are Ed Harr, Betty Scott, George Kampas, Paul O’Neal, Karen Hohimer, Joe Alesandrini, and Larry Howard. In addition to the Board members, Superintendent Paula Davis, Assistant Superintendent Tim Ruwe, Business Manager Carla Schaefer, Principal Mike Davis, Dean Herb Knoblauch, Dean Amy Hubner and Recording Secretary Dawn Roach.

Student Discipline

Motion by Alesandrini, second by Hohimer to expel student number 08-05-09 for the remainder of this school year and first semester of 2009-2010 school year.

Motion passed by roll call vote: Ayes: Alesandrini, Hohimer, Harr, Scott, Kampas, O’Neal and Howard. Nays: None.

Motion by Alesandrini, second by Hohimer to expel student number 08-06-09 for the remainder of the 2008-2009 school year.

Motion passed by roll call vote: Ayes: Alesandrini, Hohimer, Harr, Scott, Kampas, O’Neal and Howard. Nays: None.
