Poster to promote the DANCE SHOW is due on MONDAY, April 30th.
The poster can be a half sheet of poster board (no larger) or event flyer size…Example….done in Graphics class or Publisher… Make it eye catching…so students will want to read it!!! Neatness counts!!! ALL INFORMATION MUST BE CORRECT!!!

PCHS F.M. Peterson Theatre (Theater)
$3.00 at the door
All costumes drawing/designs and programs due on Monday, May 9th
Costumes include:
- Detailed drawing of costumes …not a copy out of a magazine, like “Project Runway”
- Type of fabric, color, hair accessories, etc.
- Shoes worn
- Itemized cost of the costume with both totals per person and group
- Note any companies or stores where costume may be purchased
- Make sure your costume fits your style and type of dance.
Program includes: INFORMATION MUST BE TYPED and can be fictional…
- The dancers’ names, date and time of show…be creative (Example…Sunday, February 14, 2013… 2:00 PM …Paris, France…The Amore` Grand Ballroom, Eiffel Tower….all famous couples will be in attendance)
- Where the show is taking place…be creative
- Name of dance (This may be the title of your song…but doesn’t have to be…BE CREATIVE!!!)
- Name of music
Please make sure everything and everyone’s names are spelled correctly …these elements are part of the grade…
Remember to fit the dance with the costume and program…
Remember your program and costume need to be realistic.
These assignments are worth 25% of your grade; please take all 3 seriously, for they could make or break your grade!

Any student can try out…
Wednesday, May 9th…
Optional…Wednesday, anyone can come in and practice any of the numbers after school from 2:50-3:30….totally optional…
Mandatory Thursday (May 10th)… You must attend the audition for the 5 numbers in the show! Pick the one you want to try out for….You can try out for as many as you want…meaning you could be in all 5 numbers!!!
- Thursday, 3-4:30ish meet in Mrs. S. Johnson’s room…We do not know the order of the routines for the tryout…
- Wear dance attire
- Please be warmed up and ready to dance
- If trying out for tap…bring tap shoes …if you own a pair….if not we’ll supply… For the tryout in the dance room, you will have to wear regular dance shoes until we are in the theater!
MANDATORY BLOCKING!!! MONDAY, May 14th
Monday after school meet in theatre if selected for the performance… Please be punctual. If you do not show up for your assigned dance….you will not be able to perform…even if you made the cut on Thursday…

Hope you can make the tryout…Please remember this is an audition on Thursday. Please be prepared and know the routine(s) which you are trying out for by Thursday. Also, dance full out and perform!!! Impress those judges…..Johnson and Johnson J
