•The PCHS Speech Team had a very successful weekend competing at 2 schools.  The senior and junior team placed 2nd at Charleston and the sophomores and freshman placed 3rd at Peoria Richwoods!  Varsity champions at Charleston were double champ Leah Martin, junior in prose and info, senior Riley Bloom in Original Comedy, and senior Chandler Songer in Extemp. Varsity finalists were: Seniors: Michael Inman, Kassondra Horn, Cullen Baker,  Jenna Schultz,  and Colton Houseworth, Juniors: Jordan Killion, Dakota Richmond, and Jacob Dubois.  At Richwords Varsity finalists were Sophomore Alexander Redding, Piper Simpson, Danielle Watson, Hailey Henson, Skylar Peters, and Coleton Whitford, and Freshman Alyssa Stuart!  JV champions were Tanner Bland in Oratory, Skylar Peters in Impromptu, and Alexander Redding in Radio Speaking.  Congratulations to all finalists. Remember keep moving forward!

• The Girl Up Club raised $400 from their Girl Rising fundraiser last week.  Thanks to your generosity, three girls in the developing world will get bicycles as transportation to school.  Thank you!

•Saturday 10 students from PCHS traveled to Quincy for the District 4 Jazz festival!  These students did an excellent job and were mentioned as outstanding soloists and musicians.  Their performance this weekend will determine their acceptance at the State level-Good luck swingin’ Dragons!

•Congratulations to Zariah Wherry, this week’s Flag Rules winner who was recognized by Mr. Woodring for being engaged in the classroom.
